A & H Show

The first Monday in October has always been set aside for the Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Show. It's very popular and usually everyone on Island calls in at one time or another to view the arts, crafts and produce that Norfolk is so capable of.  There are a number of photos and some may double up but I'm just going to upload the lot.  Please enjoy.

Griffith University Bachelor of Arts (GUBA)

Received an email from Chelsea with a couple of photos of her GUBA day at Griffith. Chelsea is coming to the end of her final year, and most of her assignments have been done on the Norfolk Island Culture. The final assignment was no exception.  Her father and I, nay, her family, are very very proud of her. Wael dan Chels.

Oh Cubby House

Oh Cubby House you are to me
what mine own home could never be
a simple sanctuary for my soul
in fact,
the veritable sugar bowl of my existence
Whilst sitting in my little room
with carpet, what a magic boon
I am the dominant, supreme
being of my Cubby House
with paper packs in tidy lots
and sweet sophistic flower pots
what more could I
a mere Clerk want
than this, my Cubby House!

A short, sweet rhyme, written by me in 1973 about my office in the Nelson Law Firm, Fletcher & Moore, but which ~ as you can see ~ can be beautifully adapted to my charming office at the Old Military Barracks in Kingston, Norfolk Island.  Please note the beautiful paintings in the background, done by yours truly.

Memphis comes to visit

Who walked in the door but Nicola and Memphis. Bret couldn't call in because he's at work of course. But would you just take a look at this little girl. Isn't she just gorgeous.

Not too sure what's going on but we need to see it all! Whatever it is.

If Mum's happy and relaxed, then so am I.

What a little honey. Tzarn walked in and she thought he was the most fascinating creature she'd seen in quite a while. Hmm. Not too sure what that means.

Naomi's Special Day (or more truthfully ~ Night!)

Naomi had her birthday at about the time that I ran out of space on Google. Thus and therefore, these picks are now quite old (just like.....yeah, tacky) but I'm sure you'll enjoy looking at them anyway.

It's birthday time and Naomi does so much for this little community, that when her birthday came around, it was definitely payback time. A number ~ a LARGE number ~ of ladies gathered at The Rock to help Nomes celebrate this most auspicious occasion. What a fabulous night. As usual, Gaye was click happy at the beginning, but didn't take any towards the end. On reflection  ~  that could be a very good thing! Happy daze Nomes. We luvs ya honey.
