Miki in Paris

Miki, John and Jai have gone to visit Europe for some vulgar length of time. Whilst in Paris they called in to visit one of Maree's long lost relatives,  Nostradamus.  She was absolutely amazed at the incredible resemblance that has come down through the centuries.  Thanks so much for taking us along with you on your European trip.  We are really enjoying the pics and I'll upload some of them morla.

Leona's Singalong

The very, very special Leona Hermans arrived from Wellington, and having so many friends here, a special evening was arranged for her at Donald Christian-Reynolds ad Maree's.  It was a wonderful evening with all types of musical talent being displayed

Ukelele's by those who play well, whilst listening to Maree sing
Having a laugh ~ most probably at a comment passed by Donald
A closer view of Don Bryant seriously contemplating
Podge and Porge  planning some devious misdemeanour
The left hand side of the singers and oh ~ there's Gazzard!
Vonnie, Mrs Butters and Tonno doing their scales
whilst kookaburra sits in the old gum tree is continuing over this side
and the audience is riveted.  Check out Leona!
Margie and  Vera  showing how it's done
and the gorgeous Mauatua playing for us
 then Margie tickling the ivories
whilst Clare and Alison listen in rapt wonder
followed by Dan Yager on the mouth organ
while the band plays o n
and Shirley entertains with the tambourine
 Don tunes his uke
 whilst others pose
 and Shane yodels
and Leona and Clare wind up
and everyone  joins in to harmonise
to Leona's beautiful voice.  Hope those ping pong balls don't crick her neck!

Sarah and Carmen's Masquerade Party

...and what a delicious afternoon we spent. Mostly eating, but enjoying a good chat also.

Saz and Charms wanted to have the party whilst their cousins were visiting. So. What's to stop? Nothing
 Chelsea in on the act.
 Hannah and her friend
Charms with cousin and friend flanking her
 Ooh,ooh, ooh ~ goodies
 Ruth and Hannah
Corinna looking like some French  (or is it Venetian) lady!  Great afternoon girls and the masks were beautiful. Almost as good as the food!

Mama en Biebi

Whilst pawing through stuff the other day I found this gorgeous photo of me and my baby. Isn't it the most adorable thing.  God Bless you Sweet Darling. You are so beautiful, I couldn't believe my eyes.

Billy Rawfire

Saz has been crafty again. This time it's a soft toy made from the most colourful scraps of fabric I've ever seen.
He's still only a baby so his flames aren't working yet.
Give him time. You'll soon be known as "Bellows Breath" little one

Pitcairn and Norfolk Island

We saw in the Pitcairn Newspaper that someone had sent in a photo of the Bounty and Cap'n Blight. It looks exactly the same as the one Dids bought many years ago in the Florida Keys, US of A as we were passing through on our way to Trinidad. In a gorgeous little boutique I noticed a magnificent necklace. As I pointed it out to him, he was looking lower, at the beautiful stained glass on the shelf. Guess which one walked out the shop. Not my necklace!!

A bunch of bananas ...

...sitting on the verandah at John and Rosalie's. It doesn't look very big but what I should have done, is stood someone beside it. It's HUGE!!
