Farewell Granma Rose
Dids' Grandmother, Rosina Beatrice, was born in Yarmouth, England, almost a hundred years ago. She passed away peacefull in New Zealand at the marvellous age of 96, a mother to eight children, 22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. When Dids' finished his schooling at St Paul's College, NZ, his Granma Rose lived just across the street. The memories came winging in this week and I listened carefully to the stories he had to share of this wonderful woman with such a pioneering spirit. Her family laid her to rest in the beautiful cemetery at Kingston overlooking the wide Pacific Ocean. I didn't take any photo's but here's a shot of her grandson, turning on the light as he came home. Heck of a handsome fella.
