George Kik Quintal

The saddest news was the passing of George Kik Quintal. What a wonderful man and what a beautiful funeral. Held in All Saints Church, Kingston, the church he had attended for so many years, leading everyone in their singing with his beautiful tenor voice. So often he visited Mum and Dad and you'd find him sitting on the verandah drinking tea and telling tales ~ usually tall ~ but very historical and incredibly funny.  When he saw me walking in he would begin with "My love....." and then, lord only knew what would come out. Invariably it was funny. A wonderful gentleman who will be very sadly missed.
